efore retiring in 2004, Quillin spent 10 seasons as the head football coach at Humble. He led the Wildcats to the Class 5A Division II semifinals in 1995, when he was named the Houston Touchdown Club’s coach of the year.

Quillin led Willowridge to the 4A state championship in 1982, when it defeated Corsicana 22-17 to complete a 15-0 season. He also guided Willowridge to the state final in 1981, when he was the Chronicle’s coach of the year.

 
 

Quillin is a member of the Stephen F. Austin Lettermen’s Association Athletic Jacks of Honor. He played football at SFA from 1962 to 1964. He was inducted into the Greater Houston Coaches Association Hall of Honor in 1996.
